A New Way Forward

Well this was due a couple of weeks and a day ago, but there has been so much that has gone on that I deferred on posting.

For the first time in the history of the United States, we have an African-American President. Even more important, we have a President that can read, speak, and engage people like no one we have had in the past eight years. There is hope, hope that we can retake our nation and put us back in our rightful place, as the world's greatest superpower. We are not great just because we have the largest and highly skilled military, but because we stand for freedom.

Our government is promising to be transparent. Join me in looking in on "44" and his staff at http://www.whitehouse.gov/. Sign up, look in on the blog from time to time, and be a concerned citizen and check up on your government. Participate!

First Week of the New Year 2009

Well the first week is gone! Everyone is back at their respective homes, and we are trying to get back into the swing of things "normal". New beginnings for me, a new school quarter, and a new job! I have gone to work for a surgeon friend of mine, while one of his office staff is out on maternity leave, and it will give me some great on-the-job training in my school major of Health Information Technology and Management. So this part is exciting!

Happy New Year 2009

Well here's my first official blog! I have been a little scared to do this, but it is a new year and time to try new things!

We have had a great holiday season, and were blessed to have our youngest son return from Iraq and spend the holiday season here with his family.

Here are some images from their stay...
